Especially due to the conditions from this year (long winter with low temperatures), this period is suitable for collecting soil cross to each crop because:
- We can make certain of plants growing stage
- We can establish the frost damage level over plants
In south of the country, many farmers already took soil samples to study. Due to the protection of snow layer, weren’t been signaled damages on winter crops.
This time of year must be monitored and followed through several preparing actions in order to have a good spring campaign:
- Seed conditioning and treatment for spring crops
- Seed samples will be sent to specialized labs for establishing quality indices with a view to release the official certification document.
The farmers who are buying the seed must be aware of an important aspect: because the seed standard treatment is made only with fungicide, depending on plant, especially for maize and sun-flower, the seed has to be treated with an insecticide as well.
The product must be known before purchasing the seed, also the dose and total quantity, where, when and who will do the treatment.
In the same time, farmer can plan seed amount on crops related to sowed areas and density per hectare.
